BAMSC provides guidance, information, resources, referrals, connections, historical information, and access to publicly available or voluntarily submitted information concerning the fashion and apparel industry. Nothing on this website should be interpreted as legal, financial, tax, accounting, employment, investment, or other licensed professional advice. Users should consult an appropriately qualified professional regarding decisions requiring professional advice.
2. Resource and Directory Listings
BAMSC may identify or provide information about designers, manufacturers, sample rooms, patternmakers, contractors, retailers, boutiques, custom clothiers, consultants, professional associations, nonprofit organizations, educational organizations, service providers, community organizations, and other fashion-industry resources.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, inclusion in a BAMSC resource, directory, article, database, guide, referral, or other listing:

BAMSC is developing resources intended to document and strengthen the Black fashion ecosystem in Greater Los Angeles. These resources are works in progress and are not represented as exhaustive lists of every Black-owned, Black-led, Black-serving, or Black fashion-related business, professional, organization, institution, or resource in the region.
The absence of a person, business, organization, or institution from a BAMSC resource should not be interpreted as a judgment regarding that entity or its importance to the fashion community. Information may change, and BAMSC may add, revise, correct, reorganize, or remove listings as the resource develops.
5. BAMSC Virtual Black Fashion Museum
The BAMSC Virtual Black Fashion Museum is being developed for educational, historical, cultural, and archival purposes. Museum content may incorporate historical research, publicly available information, photographs, references, archival materials, commentary, external links, and other materials used to document Black contributions to fashion and apparel.
BAMSC makes reasonable efforts to present historical information accurately but does not guarantee that every historical record, date, attribution, description, or third-party source is complete or free from error. Historical research evolves as additional documentation becomes available.
