Virtual Black Fashion Museum – Los Angeles Black Fashion History

The BAMSC Virtual Black Fashion Museum preserves, documents and shares the history of Black fashion in Los Angeles, from the pioneers to today's makers and the next generation.

Los Angeles has shaped how the world dresses, and Black designers, makers, boutique owners and creatives have been part of that story at every step. Many of their contributions were never recorded. The Virtual Museum exists to make sure they are seen, remembered and passed on.

The Virtual Museum is now being built. Exhibitions will open over time as we gather stories, photos and oral histories from the community.
